David Way was certainly not short changed in the imagination department. His vivid recollection of his first drawing is of ants and a lot of them.
The ants soon evolved to become larger creatures like dinosaurs, then dragons and knights. This all took place on a farm in a sleepy little town called Camperdown, just outside of Pietermaritzburg in South Africa. In his teens, creative pursuits included playing bass with his punk band, ‘The Final Verdict’.
These days David calls Auckland, New Zealand home and applies his active imagination to all things tech revelling in collaborations to create any sort of game or interactive experience. When not making art he concedes he plays mostly analogue games, sculpts and paints to find the much needed balance that working with digital projects demands. Every year he and his wife embark on a new adventure to intrepid locations that so far have included Tibet, Mongolia, Tanzania, Borneo and Ecuador.
