Gee's illustrations, inspired by action-packed beginnings and comic book heroes, push creative boundaries with a blend of romantic-action flair and experimental influence.
Gee’s first drawing was Rambo wielding an M16 surrounded by a bloodied aftermath, a far cry from world peace but an expected creative outcome given dad was a huge action movie fan.
Today, Gee loves comic books and enjoys doing character designs and illustrations which are intent on pushing boundaries. His dream brief delivers purpose, possibly with educational benefits and world peace thrown in for good measure.
Gee’s style meanders through romantic-action territory and lends from the experimental mindsets of his influencers one of which is David Choe, Korean-American figure painter, muralist, graffiti artist and graphic novelist. He also holds a curiosity for Russian businessman and millionaire, Gary Vaynerchuck and would go back in time to see what really happened in the Garden of Eden. Gee’s past times include being in an R&B band called ‘The Casanovas’ – cheesy, but very popular with the ladies.
