From the natural world to whimsical folktales, Zoe Gillett's unique illustrative style and expert craftsmanship breathe life into every project with remarkable depth and creativity
Having studied both graphic design and illustration as part of her visual communication degree, she brings an extra layer of expertise to every project.
Zoe grew up in New Zealand’s Whitianga on the Coromandel Peninsula, and now lives in Wellington. A passionate sun and nature lover, she often finds inspiration during long walks and outdoor adventures, or via in-depth conversations with her house plants and cat Jossy (named after a friend who hates cats).
While Zoe’s style often leans towards intricate detail with a sprinkle of surrealism, she’s excited at any opportunity to be ‘chucked in at the deep end’ to push her creative boundaries. Favourite projects encompass labels for Akarua wines and large scale works for New Zealand’s national museum Te Papa Tongarewa, including a giant, hand-painted mural for the Te Taiao nature exhibition. Zoe loves to bring her clients’ brand stories and vision to life through her work, and prides herself on her creative intuition and professionalism.
